GREAT upgrade for a secure connection, please note it will block the second port on a MacBook

Overview: **Sunshot USB C Magnetic Charger Adapter, Type C 86W Quick Fast Charging Connector Compatible with MacBook, MacBook Pro , Mote Z Google Pixel 2/2XL, Samsung S8/N8** I really liked the old Magsafe power connector on older MacBooks and was a bit disappointed when my new MacBook Pro (2017) didn't offer it. However, this adapter *almost* replaces that functionality. The magnetic Sunshot USB-C adapter works very well - it provides power and also seems to work for connecting accessories toโ€ฆ

More than I expected

Make no mistake. It works and works well. It transfers data and power perfectly in my use. However, I have found that when using the USB-C power port on my Ultrabook, it gets stuck in my bag when getting in and out of my bag. Even if, like me, you use your USB-C devices in multiple places all the time, having only one of these adapters is a problem. I need three or four to really make a difference in how I use my devices. Cleans up easily and protects your USB-C port from being "lost" as I nowโ€ฆ

Easy access to charge and discharge iPad Pro

I had a MacBook with magnetic charging ports and loved the quick access to charge the device quickly and the easy access to connect and disconnect the charging cable. This small adapter easily provides this functionality for my iPad Pro. The USB-C connector plugs into the iPad either way, and provides a secure magnetic hold when the other end is plugged in. It stays securely connected to the iPad when the magnetic adapter is removed. The other part of the adapter plugs into my Apple USB-C cable

Works well and good quality (except for a small area)

I had high hopes for this magnetic adapter as other sellers listed it for around $27. I found this one, the same for about $20, which is still pretty expensive for a small adapter, but cheaper. This works very well. The magnet is very strong and the plug fits snugly into the USB-C port on the MacBook Pro. In fact, the magnet is so strong that it tends to easily detach the USB-C connector from the laptop. Build quality is excellent except for the top of the female adapter which is covered inโ€ฆ

I love the magnetic fast charge connector!

I really like this magnetic USB-C connector. After Apple decided to get rid of Magsafe for Macs by switching to Type-C USB ports, it was difficult to connect/disconnect Type-C chargers. Accidental bumps and trips can cause a Macbook to fall to the ground. My Type-C connector is already bent for this reason. I was very skeptical about getting these magnetic tips. When I saw that there was a fast charge port that supports up to 86W, I wanted to try it. This Type C Magnetic Quick Connector isโ€ฆ
