💦 JVP-110 Series Submersible Circulation Power Head Pump: Efficient 530 GPH Water Flow Review

This is a powerful pump but I would be wary as it offers very little protection where the pump blades rotate to generate electricity. The sides of the pump are sucking up water causing some of my small fish and plants to get stuck on their side and eventually die. Also some of my floating plants were shredded by the propeller. I would have thought it was a tank with bigger fish and no floating plants, but this pump didn't live up to my expectations and I ended up returning it.

I read bad reviews about this power head but the price was so cheap at $8 I decided to try my luck. Until now, 11/26/2019, the pump works perfectly. It is very powerful, even stronger than pumps from other manufacturers that claim to have the same performance. Sometimes the pump works in reverse, but this is dealt with by simply disconnecting and reconnecting. DOES NOT TRANSFER VERY MUCH WATER. I AM NOT SURE BUT NO MATTER WHAT I DID TO KEEP IT CLEAN MANY WATER CHANGES COST ME A TON OF MONEY TO DIE FISH AND CHEMICALS HARD TO UNDERSTAND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT BUT I HAVE AMAZING WATER. Since taking it out I've just added an extra filter so don't waste your money on that. I've lost a lot of my fish, just install an extra filter if you have a problem

I confess my use for this is a bit. Unconventional. I use this fan for aquarium waves. In a beer cooler. No I'm not kidding lol. I have a 28 liter beer cooler that I use for sous vide cooking (at least until I can afford a real sous vide machine) and this shaft fan works great for holding water.
