My sister ordered these as a gift for my cat. When it arrived it was cut! I saw small tears on the collar and decided it was small and it wouldn't be difficult to send it back. Less than a week later, the collar billowed out and began tearing. I should have just asked for a refund. waste of money.

Nice but it has a moveable piece of plastic (supposed to keep the thicker part flat) that rubbed against my kitty's neck and caused a nasty sore after just a week of use ( and not too tight). I've looked at other reviews and others don't seem to mention this issue so I'm not sure why this happened to my cat. We also had scrapes after a day of use. Not the best buy for us.

My cat has been wearing this collar for several weeks and to this day I have noticed this terribly rough skin on his neck. It is very inflamed, bloody and of course painful. He has to go to the vet now because it looks like an abscess could form from scratching and licking. I absolutely cannot recommend this collar. This clearly got my kid into such a reaction and I feel terrible for him.

Definitely durable for active cats who play a lot! My little toddler is almost 2 years old and VERY active. She is quite small and the collar shortens just enough to fit her. We have 2 cats and they play very roughly together but this collar is not frayed at all. The ringer is loud enough to let me know where she is, but not so loud that it's annoying and doesn't keep me up at night. I ordered metal name tags on Etsy that slide. She's got an avocado on her right now and she's VERY cute!

The tear-off function works perfectly. How do I know? My almost one year old kitten Axel took it off 5 times. Now it's up to the game which of us gives up first. Every time I remove the tiny prison device from its many hiding places, I reattach it. Which only fuels his desire to film it even more. They are extremely durable as I saw him put his paw underneath and yank it off his neck. The collar still looks like new. My other three cats have adopted the tiny restraints and love them now. Initially I would give this product 5 stars; It is EXTREMELY well made and solid material. But after my cat wore this collar for a while, I noticed cuts on her neck. Turns out the buckle on this collar (in the shape of a cat) is SUPER SHARP. The buckle has "cat ears" which are literally razor sharp and when my cat scratches or moves the product cuts through her throat. She has short hair so she didn't have much fill to help her out.
