These things really work.

My '88 Dakota was a boat. Now it's a rock. I suggest not lifting before installing unless you really want to lift it up a bit. I installed Superior 12-1500 with secondary springs. Lot of money.

The only true! Best Leaf Springs & Parts

This item was returned by Revain. So I got a very generous discount. I just needed an assistant in the passenger seat of my 1986 Toyota Mini camper van. The leaf spring was slightly reinforced by the installation. It fits perfectly on my 1 ton Toyota frame. For the price it was a very reasonable deal.

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Damaged

Works great on an S10 that sags

We have a shortened S10 at work that can't handle much weight without sagging in the back. It took about 20-30 minutes to install and now it feels much stronger. I don't think they are designed to jack or jack up a car, just keep them from sagging when carrying weight, or help weak old springs.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Not for Beginners to Install

Great bang for your buck. Installed it on a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 with no problems. The spring over the axle is not a problem. You'll need good clamps to lower the spring onto the leaf springs so you can install the U-bolts, or a set of longer U-bolts that you can cut off after installation.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Exchange Availability

decent price. good delivery.

I'm only giving these helper springs 4 stars because the description doesn't make it clear what they fit. It will not fit most trucks! It is designed to be placed under the axle for leaf springs that are also mounted under the axle. If you don't want to remove your bolts and add to the spring pack. It doesn't work with more powerful springs (most trucks).

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Useless features

Know your application and you will be fine.

People who have had problems with these didn't look at their suspension to see if it would work before they bought it. All you have to do is look at how stressed your coil springs are to find out which side of the spring to put them on and if they're of any use. I have 68 Mustang springs holding a 1975 Camaro axle in a 1940 Ford and they worked great because I measured before buying!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Compatibility
