Excellent replacement for struts

Very good, not installed yet but I can say they will work great on my 2001 S10 double cab. The screws are ok but I'll probably switch to 1/2" grade 8 screws, still plenty for braces alone, they're about twice the thickness of the original.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Crumpled

Shackle kit - poor quality control.

Pretty heavy and easy to use. The holes were machined very off center in the steel in 2 of the 4 pieces. Bad quality control. The bolts fit very freely in the holes. I used them on a cargo trailer to make room for the big tires. For my purpose they were ok.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • functionality

Spring calipers - shock absorbers, struts and suspension

Good strong struts. The only problem is that the screws that came with it were 1 inch shorter. I had to buy 4 new 1/2" x 6" screws and I was done. I used the first hole after the top hole and it raised my Nova 1 just the way I wanted it. I cut off the bottom 2 holes, sanded them and painted matte black.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • write later

Couldn't use them for the right application but they are heavy gauge steel and I'll be saving them for another project. Too cheap to ask for a refund. These are the same shackles we used in the 50's, 60's and early 1970's to raise the rear of our cars for a 'stripped' look.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Secret

Did the job, needed some drilling

For those who ask, it's 10 inches long, 1.5 inches wide and 1/4 inch. The holes are 1/2 inch in diameter. My application uses 9/16" screws. So I had to drill the pairs of holes I used a bit larger. With the "stepper" bit in the drill press, that wasn't a problem. They seem quite durable and worth the money. They are on a special trailer. If I were to use them on a real vehicle I would like reinforcing cross braces welded between each pair of braces to avoid the risk of bending due to length…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
