NOT for Surface 3 LAPTOP

The USB port on this device is micro not USB-C - you really have to look through all the fine print to see this and I missed it as soon as I saw it theoretically good for a Surface Laptop 3. The Surface Laptop 3 only has a USB-C port, not a micro port. There is a lot of confusion in these reviews as to whether something is intended for a Surface tablet, Surface Pro, laptop, etc. (Thanks Microsoft for the downright confusing naming convention.) Review.

Will fail for computers and accessories

I have tried several brands of these chargers as they all do not work with Microsoft Surface. I had two original Microsoft chargers, both of which failed. So I turned to other options hoping to find better quality. This is another charger to add to the list of failed ones. I bought in September and it stopped working 4 months later. I think the best charger I've had for this computer is the docking station. It's expensive but definitely worth the money.

Great price for something that works!

Similar to Surface also with mod. used, the charger where it is connected to the side, its "teeth" wear out very quickly - this charger works great so far! Mainly because there is no such thing as a "dental treatment" for wear and tear; and it's also the best price I've paid so far! I add more to the previous June review; It actually lasted 2 months with light to moderate computer usage. Thing is, they just don't last long, but why pay $40-$50 every few months when that's the best price we've…

Does NOT work - chargers and adapters

I bought these two (fake) for $20 and Microsoft (genuine) for $60 so I ended up spending $80 on the charger. If it doesn't help, then why two stars? It's good that there's more than one Surface Pro model, and that might work. and since it was a good deal for one of them, it just didn't work for mine. The build quality of the fake is also OEM. Another thing that fake worked by simply pressing on a plug that isn't plugged in by touching it. So if you want to hold it down, it will charge in the…

Bad connection is good for chargers and adapters

To be fair, the micro USB connector, while convenient, isn't the most durable tablet connector if you want to use your tablet while it's charging. Microsoft OEM cables with a right-angle connector like this largely solve this problem, fitting snugly into the tablet and pretty much preventing the connector from moving. Unfortunately, this particular charger has a slightly longer USB connector, so it doesn't fit snugly against the tablet, but protrudes slightly, allowing the USB connector to…
