Love these spokes. I have a collection of high quality bamboo needles and "turbo" metal needles, but they are very good. They're lightweight and your yarn slips off easily with just enough friction so you don't lose your work.

I ordered short knitting needles to teach my girlfriend how to knit - let's start with a scarf. These are perfect for that. I like smooth needles, no bamboo or anything like that. I grew up with Boye aluminum needles. With them you can knit much faster.

These needles are really easy to use and the yarn doesn't pull on the needle. It's also very easy to slide the stitches off the needle onto the next needle if that makes sense. I love these needles and they are now my favorites.

My two sons learned to knit over the summer holidays and I gave each of them a set of children's knitting needles. They both managed to break the needle after only using it for a day when they dropped it on the floor and snapped off the ends.
