Coarse connection between needle and cable.

Very rough connection between needle and cable. Also, the tips of the needles scratch each other, so the tips also become rough. The yarn will stick to the coarse joint, making it difficult to move the loops from the cord to the needle.

  • Worth the money

Had to return

The knuckles on these needles were so rough and tacky that I couldn't knit more than a few rounds of the hat before I had to switch to other needles. I was hoping to find a good economical replacement when my more expensive needles were in other projects but it's not.

Pros
  • Pack Length: 8.0
Cons
  • Incredible Piggy Bank

Regular Circular Needles

I usually love crocheting and Susan Bates needles. I was a bit disappointed with the circular knitting needles. The cable is a bit stiff. The flat part of the cord prevents the stitches from moving properly around the cord and needles. My stitches got stuck between the flat surface and where the needle meets the cable.

Pros
  • Pack size: .19
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other needles

Functional but disruptive seam between needle and cable

Warning! These cables are 29 inches long. I couldn't find these anywhere (I had to measure them myself) and I was actually looking for 24 inch pins for a hat project. What's really annoying is that the connection between the needle and the cable isn't smooth, there's a little seam that snags my yarn every time. Did it mess up the project? no Was it frustrating that the yarn wouldn't slide over that area unless I physically moved it? You bet. Don't mess with these.

Pros
  • Packaging width: 3.5
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging
