I didn't expect them to like them as much as I cherish my old Boye hook sets from the 70's but when I got them after my last one I didn't move I decided to try these plastic hooks. I have been crocheting for over 30 years and have tried many crochet patterns. I prefer built-in hooks because the hook doesn't hang on the yarn and separate the threads, greatly slowing down the process. These hooks have such a built-in design. What really impressed me is that where they were made in the molds there are no defects. I have used these particular hooks with a variety of yarns/fibers without splitting, tearing or shredding the yarn.
