🔧 Swanson TBL001M Tool Box Level: Achieving Precision and Accuracy in Every Project Review

A great solid spirit level for home use and the hobbyist in all of us. Pleasant extras are a magnetic strip along the entire upper part and a profiled bottom for whistles. Only half the price of comparable levels I've researched!

I usually buy Stabila levels: they are accurate, easy to use and just "feel” right. I couldn't find a 12" Swanson so I figured the Swanson was cheap and if I didn't like it I had little to lose. "upset" by using my nail gun. I'll probably order another one and keep it in my tool bag.

I bought this level to replace a cheap plastic Stanley level that I had for years and which was always suspected of being a bit inaccurate. Well I was right because this one worked great! This is a very good step forward without breaking the bank. It is durable, easy to read, and has a magnetic side and a grooved side for easy measurement of pipes and other curved surfaces. Five stars.

I liked that the goods arrived on time, thanks Revane, the packaging was good and looked good until I noticed that the zip tie that attaches the spirit level to the packaging it was so solid it actually left a dent in the surface, I rely on the level being perfect in my work, this dent has now rendered this tool useless. It reset the level and I use it as a background to draw straight lines on a flat surface like a wall, that's all it's worth now.

I checked out Ken's video in one of the reviews to make sure mine is the same. I tried the same as he did. . His video was correct. I have also compared this plane to two 9 inch torpedo planes I've had on a granite countertop for years, with the two torpedo planes centered on this plane and the torpedo planes displayed the same in any position, side, top and bottom are all the same . Failed to load media. I'm sorry Swanson, but that's a bad review. see videos. I ordered one of them and it was incorrect. But hey, that's normal, there are always broken tools here and there, so I ordered a replacement scale, same thing. 2 levels in a row with the same inaccuracy. So I think this level line is not good. It's funny that there's a cheaper 12" Swanson level (my red must be an older model?) It's the same level without the color. This level is accurate, at least reasonably accurate.

Let me catch up with you. This level is on par, but doesn't tip the scales. Mine arrived with a small tear/scratch on one of the bubbles, making it a bit uneven on proportional levels - it's a little hard to read; unbalanced. Seems to measure accurately - when I line up with my other layer the layers are the same. However, don't rule it out. Conclusion: This level corresponds to the work. It's just as good as the other levels and the color (red) makes it easy to find in my bag. This will help…
