I'm not sure if this device actually has a USB 3.0 chip, I'll give the seller the benefit of the doubt and assume they didn't actually sell me the USB 2.0 chip in a prettier one and more expensive box. Anyway, it's not used on my machine. The chip may be so new that Microsoft hasn't added the high-speed drivers yet, or it may not be properly configured so they won't activate. I planned to use this to switch my office keyboard, mouse, camera and headset between Linux and Windows 10 systems. The Linux system worked fine, but Windows gives the message "The USB device has exceeded the performance limits of its hub port." This happens on any Windows system as soon as you plug it in. A full reboot is required to bring it back to normal. This is poor quality control at best and I'm afraid it hurts both systems.

I gave it 5 stars because it works great but I don't really like it for a reason I should have had Think ahead (no fault of the product). Cables enter on one side and cables exit on the other side. It would look neater on my desk if the incoming and outgoing cables ran along one edge of the device so I could place it on my desk with all cables at the back and out of sight. The way it's built with cables on both sides, ugly cables everywhere and there's no good way to put it on my desk.

Good USB 3.0 KVM Switch I use this with my desktop and laptop to easily switch between them. The indicator lights are dim, although I wish they were bigger and brighter so I know what system I'm on. Generally if you have 2 systems this is a must to save desktop space as you have 2 different sets of mouse and keyboard.

As mentioned here the only real problem with this switch is that the LED showing you PC1 or PC2 is so dim unless You look directly at it in low light, don't know what's selected. Otherwise it works fine and the transfer speed is USB 3.0 as it should be.

It helps me to free up some space on my desk. My gaming keyboard, mouse, headset work without any problems. If they hit a working PC and all the fancy drivers are off, everything works well enough. Very happy with the purchase. There is a few seconds delay when switching, so be careful when trying to use multibox.
