Not as shown

Tacx appears to have recently gone black but with no part number change. T1402 preserved but chrome plated instead of black as shown. This is the same part that Tacx has been selling for more than 10 years. Works as expected - 5 stars. Too bad it's chrome as my bike has black parts.

Works as expected after a little tweaking

Needed for my Vortex smart. The old fitness skewer didn't work because it had a conical end while this one has a more cylindrical end to better fit the machine. The bike is in the trainer so I cut it off. It doesn't really matter to me since I have the tools, but I can see how it can be a problem for those who don't have the resources. The company should trim the product by 1/2 inch.

Fits but too long - Exercise Bikes & Accessories

This skewer actually fits my Tacx, unlike several other skewers I've had for other machines. The design of the Tacx requires the quick release mechanism to be more flush than other running shoes. My only complaint was that the skewer was too long and ended up sticking out. Not only was this annoying for snagging, it also made installation on an exercise bike very difficult as the quick clamp would not open wide enough to stand the bike up without mounting it at an oblique angle or loosening by…
