Works well and easy to install. I just noticed the head of the screw is getting rusty so I need to pull it out and find the same size in stainless steel.

I got this thing a while ago and wanted to install it. Broke the first fall of the tribe. Now the adjustment screws are stuck in my tailgate. I hope others have better luck.

Installation is easy. Good directions. The throttle burst is loud at first, but I've noticed that it's starting to sound more normal now that I've had it for a while. Seems to be a good design.

I was a bit skeptical at first. After installing it, I lowered the tailgate the first few times, it fell off the last few inches. The next day and since then everything works fine.

That's good. Works as they say. Just a pity they didn't make one that installed on the passenger side. My tailgate is a little heavy and I think if I had another one fitted on the passenger side it would be perfect.

This is a copy of the more popular DeeZee tailgate strut but works just as well. Mine came with a torx wrench so all you need to install is a 10mm socket and wrench. Paper instructions are easy to follow. Mine didn't come with mylar tape, but after testing it and checking the tailgate trim, I couldn't see anything rubbing against the tailgate paint. I highly recommend this item.

The product may be good but has yet to be seen. The instructions require some work, what about the small bottle of oil that comes with the kit but isn't mentioned in the instructions? I thought it was a lube and found that it had to be applied to the threads of the bolts to hold them in place. Everything is clear, but the bottle was not labeled and was not mentioned in the instructions. I used my own Loctite. And mylar to put on so as not to scratch?
