Good for the price.

It's ok for the price, but do yourself a favor and upgrade to a larger display digital display. I had to calibrate it (ice and boiling water) etc and it's easy enough but there are too many good digital devices out there. If you're serious about cooking, or even just a hobby cook, invest in a good digital thermometer. You will thank yourself for that.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Zero

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Inaccurate and too slow

Did not record accurate temperatures. Even after a recalibration with the supplied ice water and boiling water key, it does not deliver the correct values. It also took a lot longer to register the temperature than the previous Taylor instant reading I had for years, so I gave this a try. I returned this article and now need to find a working Instant Read.

Pros
  • Test, measure and verify
Cons
  • I will add later
