Excellent thermometer. Slightly larger than I would like but fits comfortably in your hand and allows you to keep your hand off the heat when checking the meat on the grill. The backlight is essential when smoking on a tall smoker as you don't want to move a brisket over 20 pounds and a thermometer without a backlight is unreadable in the smoke. Very glad I found it so I don't have to carry a flashlight with me when checking the temperature of my delicious smoked creations.

Lowe's don't have them in stock right now as it's winter so I was glad to find them here at Revain.

We've had this for a little over six months and have used it successfully maybe once or twice a week. It now shows three L's. The manual says the temperature is out of range when you see it. In my case it shows L when I open it and shows temp when I close it making it unusable. I wrote to Taylor and received no reply. So much for customer service.
