Installed as an extra fan on my Chev HD2500 Silverado when I'm idling on a hot day (road construction, long train, etc.). in Yuma, Arizona. I put it on a manual dash switch with a 10 amp "Add Circuit" fuse. Did the same with the smaller 8" fan on the transmission cooler when the transmission was already hot with no airflow through the cooler. Both work fine and do the job I wanted. I recommend

This is the second time I have bought Southwest Performance radiator fans (first 16" and this time two 12" fans) and both times was the same Shipping very fast! Both times two days earlier! Both times the goods were delivered well packaged. Both times the fans were exactly as advertised and included all hardware with instructions. These are good quality A-Team cooling fans. I had this 12 inch fan on my 1988 Ford Ranger 4x4 for a few months and I have only used the fan 4 times in total as an extra pusher in combination with my mechanical fan. The other day it stopped working and I couldn't get it to work, checked the wiring but the motor doesn't turn. The vibrations of the dirt/rocky roads and the occasional mud puddle might have killed it, but the water never got over the bumper (the fan is mounted 4 inches above the bumper).
