Poor quality phone cord

Some static electricity. This works, but the sound quality is affected by the connection. I always wanted to keep it connected because you never know when you might want to record. But it's annoying to keep talking to him. I had to send it back but I was busy.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Probably won't buy again

I bought this unit because my other solution no longer works. The volume control is terrible. Almost out. A little higher and the sound booms. Sound is just one channel. My previous solution was stereo. Apart from that it works. I just don't recommend it.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Factor Set

Does what it should.

does what it should. I needed a phone recorder that would work straight from the phone jack and my Panasonic cordless phones. It worked well. You'll hear a bit of hissing while recording, but it goes away when you actually make or receive a call. I haven't tried connecting the phone to the handset as all my phones are cordless.

Pros
  • availability
Cons
  • there are doubts

Waste of time and money

Comes without instructions. One end of the cable has been shipped and we need to clamp it in the box. Even after a new plug it doesn't work. I don't know why I keep falling in love with these devices that promise good recording, but some of them don't even record. I'm going back and will continue trying to find affordable technology that allows for seamless recording.

Pros
  • Fits many people
Cons
  • Not sure

Yes, ECS-DUPR works with cordless phones!.

First: Yes, ECS-DUPR works with cordless phones!. It works with: my analog phone line + analog cordless phone (e.g. Panasonic KX-TG2832) + voice recorder (e.g. SONY ICD-PX440) + ECS-DUPR call recording adapter. This is very clear sound with no noise. ECS-DUPR is very small (less short than a credit card), which is great. It includes all accessories (cables) shown in the picture, so it's a complete plug and play kit (no extra cables required). The sensitivity at the start of the recording is set

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No insurance

No instructions, doesn't work

Received this with no instructions. Very disappointed. After spending a lot of time asking questions trying to figure out how to wire it, searching the internet etc, I finally figured it out. Made a few quick test calls. What a waste! An extremely loud hum can be heard on the recording and soft voices can hardly be made out in the background. If I hadn't joined the conversation I would never have been able to understand what they are saying, they are so quiet and masked by a loud hum. The…

Very flexible - Plug and Play - Good product - Works well

Read dozens of reviews of various "Universal Phone Recording Adapters" (UTA) and got nervous because of the many bad reviews function. I chose it because of the additional control scheme and good reviews. Also, this UTA proved very flexible - it could be used on a 'line' from a wall or line to the handset for an old phone - and it could record to a PC (using free software like Audacity) OR to digital Recorder with voice control. I liked the idea of a backup plan in case things went wrong. I…
