Impressed with this Thermostatic Mixing Point

Industrial and Scientific fittings can be tricky to get right but I was pleasantly surprised with how well this one performed. After I put it to the test, I found that it maintained a consistent water temperature despite fluctuations in the supply. The build quality is excellent and it was easy to install. The only downside is that it's a bit on the expensive side. However, considering the performance and durability, it's a worthwhile investment.

Pros
  • Provides precise control over water temperature, minimizing the risk of scalding and Legionella growth
Cons
  • Requires professional installation and may be more expensive than traditional mixing valves

I didn't know if this would work but I found that by connecting the supply to the inlet of the heat exchanger and the cold valve I had no pressure drop allowing the valve to work. There seems to be enough current. Hope this will be helpful.

Pros
  • YOU ALWAYS HAVE NO HOT WATER BUT CANNOT SET UP A HEAT TANK? The TEMLOCK thermostatic mixing valve allows you to save the current boiler. Simply set the water heater to a higher temperature and the thermostatic mixing valve to a safe temperature of around 120°F. With these settings, the valve draws less hot water from your boiler!
Cons
  • So far so good

Very easy to set up

I was trying to buy a Honeywell thermostatic mixing valve. I seem to have ordered two different styles of Revain. None were on the list. No one. I finally ordered this valve. Since we were using PEX we had to sweat over the PEX fittings which made valve assembly much longer. The water heater is set to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The mixing valve arrived set at 120 degrees. When the water reached the point of use, it wasn't as hot as some users would like. Just like turning on a sink faucet, gently…

Pros
  • NEED TO CONTROL WATER TEMPERATURE IN PEX FOOT RADIANT HEATER OR OTHER HYDRONIC DEVICE? No problem ! Set the desired water temperature with the TEMLOCK thermostatic mixing valve.
Cons
  • Expensive
