Description of 🌡️ ennoLogic eT1050D - High Temperature Dual Laser Infrared Thermometer for Surfaces, Accurate -58°F to 1922°F

NOT for BODY TEMPERATURE! This thermometer does NOT estimate body temperature from skin temp readings. Its accuracy of ± 3.5°F does not make it accurate enough to determine if a person has a fever by scanning their forehead. It was designed for a much wider temperature range. This is an industrial thermometer that performs beautifully and accurately for what it was intended for: food safety inspections, HVAC, BBQ, cooking, or home inspection and home improvement projects. NOT for medical use. DUAL LASER POINTER FOR PRECISE TARGETING of test area. ADJUSTABLE EMISSIVITY improves the measurement accuracy across different surface types. By setting the emissivity of your IR thermometer to match the material you are measuring, you obtain a more accurate reading. Emissivity is adjustable from 0.10 to 1.00 and a table of emissivity values is included in the manual. AUTO SHUTOFF after 7 seconds. All user settings for laser, backlight, °C/°F, and emissivity are retained between uses. SCAN FEATURE TRACKS MINIMUM, MAXIMUM, AND AVERGAGE READINGS while scanning for increased accuracy. Hold button to scan a surface area and find the average, maximum, or minimum temperature for the whole area instead of only a spot reading. This allows you to see temperature variations on a surface. The averaging feature can also be used to obtain a more reliable and accurate reading. To keep track of more than one reading, a MANUAL LOG feature allows you to store up to 20 readings in memory. HIGH AND LOW TEMPERATURE ALARMS can be set to provide audible feedback when a target temperature is exceeded. Use this handy feature to easily detect when a specific temperature is reached or exceeded, e.g. frying oil. Also includes convenient LOCK FEATURE for continuous hands-free measurements. This allows you to set up the thermometer to continuously monitor an area without pressing the trigger button. The Lock feature is particularly useful when combined with the audible High or Low alarm. VERY WIDE MEASUREMENT RANGE of -50°C to 1050°C (-58°F TO 1922°F). Resolution: 0.1°C/0.1°F. Accurate to ± (1% of reading+1°C/2°F) or ± 2°C/3.5°F, whichever is greater. FAST RESPONSE TIME AND FAST POWER-UP. ACCURATE AND EASY TO READ. Backlight and lasers can be turned on and off independently. Switch between CELSIUS AND FAHRENHEIT. Comes with user manual, 9V battery and holster. FDA, FCC, and CE compliant. 10-YEAR WARRANTY, HASSLE-FREE REPLACEMENT GUARANTEE, and 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.

Precise with many additional functions

I use the product to measure the temperature at the top and bottom of the mould. The mold temperatures should be in a narrow range as this affects the quality and success of our product. This pistol is accurate, easy to use and has many additional features. I rate this product 100% on form, form and function.

Functional Best in Infrared Thermometer

My husband ordered this temperature gun for something he was working on. What a happy family as we had a blast taking the temperature of ourselves, cats, dogs and just about anything we could find. Yes, we need a life, but it was fun. My husband reports that the gun works great and is exactly what he needs for his project.

Great product, even better customer service

They support your product. Have owned e1050D for four years. Works great but one laser was very weak which I lived with but has become more of a problem lately. Even after 4 years they stood behind their product and replaced the thermometer in a few days. I really appreciated that it was so easy to solve.

Excellent accurate IR thermometer

I have used this instrument a number of times since purchasing and have compared it to other thermometers where possible and it works great at a very reasonable price! It's accurate, easy to use, and reliable. It has a great carrying case and a small instruction manual with emissivity charts so the readings are pretty accurate. You will NOT make a mistake buying this tool.

  • Very impressive

Good block for immediate reading.

Works as it should. Make sure you refer to the brochure to set the correct parameters for the surface properties of the desired temperature. I bought this because of the high temperature it can read (up to). I want to use this once my forge is fully set up. Rather for heat treatment/hardening process. Used it to get water temperature for fermenting yeast. Faster reading than with a physical thermometer.

Pros
  • It's amazing

Very useful and handy tool

Very useful and handy tool! I use it in blacksmithing when I'm annealing metal, soldering joints, or just want to make sure the melting point isn't too close. By working with different types of silver solder (light, medium, hard, etc.) I can quickly check if I'm approaching the pour point of the solder. I also use it to test hot metal that I may have burned or soldered just to make sure it's safe to handle so I don't burn myself.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not bad

What makes this device useless to me

The device will not scan above 1202F. The HAL high temperature alarm will not allow the value to be set above 1202F. This means when I check the temperature of the steel I've been heating, all I get is a HI from the device if the steel temperature is above 1202 F. Which makes this device unusable for me. I'll be back. As a side note, although I ordered the eT1050D and that's what I got, the maximum temperature of 1202 F is the advertised temperature range of the eT650D. I'm not sure if they…

Cannot be recalibrated Good for testing, measuring and checking

Bought to check preheat for industrial welding. I bought this with a certificate so we don't have to check it right away. Our quality program requires annual calibration. A year has passed and it has proved insufficient and unadaptable. This may be an isolated case with this product, but our contractor has not had any issues with other brands. Unfortunately, I bought a second one a little over a month ago. I don't trust the certificate anymore, so it's better to check the second one. I do not…
