🚗 Tesa Wire Loom Harness Tape: The Preferred Choice for Mercedes, BMW, VW, and Audi Review

This is the same material used in wire weaving mills. I've used this several times in my German cars when rewinding wire harnesses. It looks factory made and will hold up much better than regular 3M Super 88s. I don't see any reason why you could use anything else. It's one of those things I wish I knew before I started using it.

Building street rods and pre 1960 vehicles always requires rewiring and for me this tape comes as close as possible to the look of the original factory decal. Unlike the original strap, this material stays in place and is more than thick enough. I found that the heat from the engine bay did not "melt" the adhesive from the tape, which is common with old friction tape and particularly shiny black vinyl.
