Tetra 77877 Whisper Repair Pump Review

I recently had a minor issue with my aquarium pump, which required some repairs. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I bought a replacement pump (which wasn't the same brand as my previous one) and came across this little gem. It was super easy to install and has been running smoothly for weeks now. The whisper-quiet function is a game-changer in my house, where everyone loves to watch the fish!

The rubber diaphragm wears out and needs to be replaced regularly to ensure efficient and quiet operation of most of these air pumps. I'm surprised that the repair kit is more expensive than replacing the pump.

Benefits: Parts are original equipment manufacturer quality, that's a good thing. If you fix a Whisper 20 or 40, it will get the job done. Once this kit is properly installed, your pump will run like new. Cons: The cost of the kit is about the same or slightly more than buying a replacement pump of the same model.
