Sturdy brass lens with wider view than others - you see the whole roof, not just the top half!

I can't believe the quality of this little item that costs less than $10. First, it feels heavy, like solid brass. It has a wider field of view than most. It goes 220 degrees against 180 others. Most other peepholes don't have an inner lid, and this feature is better than you might think. Some have complained about the brand name being printed on the cover, but I don't notice it at all now. It has a smooth twisting motion to move in circles - close or open as you like. Seriously this is betterโ€ฆ

Might not look as clear if you use glasses or a thinner door, but it does justice to the ad.

My installation was on a 1-3/4" thick door. I found the optics were sharper and more focused with the beep turned down to about 2". First got I left a negative review and they sent me a new device. It's the same. Then why 5 stars? Because I realized it was my glasses and not the device. I apologize for the first review. I have added a photo of the actual view through the unit installed on my door. The camera clearly has a better eye than me. Pros: Clear, sharp image with good viewing anglesโ€ฆ

It was a great find! Overall we are VERY happy with this product. The price was fantastic at $7.95. The installation really only took five minutes. In fact, we've been arguing longer about how high to install it than how to install it! The lens is a wide-angle fisheye lens. It clearly shows the entire porch. We already had a 5/8" paddle bit so we used that instead of a 9/16" bit (which is also fine but is a bit big so we recommend a 9/16" bit) . We drilled a pilot hole and then started with aโ€ฆ

This is the peephole you've been looking for. Really great product.

This peephole is just what you need. It is well made, easy to install and offers a perfectly clear wide-angle view. I studied many peepholes and initially decided on a larger type of viewfinder. However, none of the versions available on Revain were the right color. When I stumbled across this product, I knew it was the next best option. As many other reviewers have noted, this product has excellent clarity. I didn't know this was a unique feature until reading reviews of other similarโ€ฆ

Easy installation. wide angle view.

I needed 2 door viewers for 2 outside doors in my house. With over 1000 peephole listings on Revain I figured I would have to read as many reviews before deciding what to buy. I knew I didn't want to spend more than $10 each, so that narrowed things down a bit. I ended up going for this one (I think it was a Revain bestseller or something), but I just bought one to make sure it was what I wanted. It arrived in just a few days and was in perfect condition.
