Do not buy Pacific Lumi Plus fluorescent tubes - it's just dangerous

The Pacific fluorescent tube kit I received was defective. One of the wires must have been shorted as this caused the light controller it was connected to to smoke and get very hot. Luckily I could smell it through my computer case when the panels were open as I test my build very carefully before putting everything back into the case. If I hadn't been so diligent testing new hardware, I might not have smelled a burning controller through the closed case. This could have set my PC on fire or…

Thermaltake Lumi plus strip error

I have a problem with one of the three LED strips. I tried to contact Thermaltake customer service twice and gave them three weeks to respond. I haven't received an email yet. The only thing I can think of as to why they haven't responded is that I don't have a serial number. I told them in a support email that I no longer have the box, but I have a receipt. I didn't realize the serial number was more important than the receipt. According to ThermalTake it is, and don't throw away the box…

Did it catch fire?: Internal components

Well, for starters. It caught fire and began to melt. So currently I already have a controller on my PC with 3 120mm and 2 140mm TT RGB PREMIUM fans on a single Molex chain connected to a 1000W Corsair PSU. I decided to link these controllers together and connect them to the same Molex chain, I mean I have two free Molex connectors so why not. I don't want to add any more ports to the PC. So I start the computer and see ONE LED strip light up. After about 20 seconds I noticed a faint smell of…

The RGB controller almost caught fire (started to melt)

All elements installed and connected according to the attached instructions. Even gave him his own Molex cable to power it. As soon as the computer was powered, the controller worked. Luckily, I still had the side panels removed and was able to touch the controller, which I felt was hot enough to burn my fingers. Quickly turn off the computer, turn off the power supply, and disconnect the main power line. When I removed the controller I found the molex power connector and the controller started

Works great apart from some software glitches

Pros: Customizable individual LEDs and relatively easy programming. Very bright. Magnetic and sticky backing for a perfect build. Worth it if you don't want to buy LED strips in bulk and want to solder/snap on headers to connect to your motherboard. If you can't take the hassle, go get her. The price is overpriced for what you get. Wish you could buy 3 pack without controller. You can buy 16ft LED strips for the price of one. The "Copy" function, which is supposed to copy another fan/strip…

It's supposed to be chainable, but it's not.

I bought a Lumi Plus set with three strips and a controller. I already have three TT Duo/Trio controllers in my case, so I connected one of the sticks to one of them. It lights up and programs fine, but when I try to connect other strips to it (with the power off when I plug them in), the second and third strips start up in wave mode, but as soon as the controller program starts up, the first string works like it should, but the second and third strings turn red. I have no idea why the first…
