reduces heat but glue doesn't withstand heat and drips everywhere

The product itself is great for reducing heat. I put it under the hood of my Viper because I have a carbon fiber hood so it doesn't fade on my paint. I can touch the top of the tail and hood where I attached the parts and you can tell it stays nice and cool. The glue they use can't take the heat and it starts to melt and drip onto my engine. Over time the parts start to sag and I have to put them back in place. You need the best glue that doesn't melt.

Impressive heat resistance and easy installation

I have a 2020 Class C RV mounted on a Ford E450 chassis. The kennel in the forward cabin is apparently notorious for not dissipating heat adequately. I have read some RV forums that recommended using this product and I absolutely agree! The difference between day and night between the amount of heat felt before and after installation. Installation was easy as the item can be cut very easily with regular kitchen scissors/scissors. Highly recommended to fix manufacturer design/material flaws?!

  • Hands free operation

Not for soundproofing. also not very heat resistant. Attention buyers

Excellent adhesion. Can work well for blocking heat but has little to no sound deadening. He is very thin. *Edit: After heating this stuff up a few times, the glue started melting and dripping all over the place. It's basically not possible to get out. Now the car smells like burnt rubber every time it is started and smoke everywhere. I just have to wait for everything to melt/burn. Hoping it doesn't burn. This material does not absorb sound well, nor does it appear to be heat resistant…

Good product! Ideal for painting RV diesel engines.

I put this insulation on both sides of the plywood engine cover. Diesel engine noise is greatly reduced. And almost no heat. Before we add the insulation, once we get to our destination, it will take several hours of AC to cool the bedroom - no more. The material and adhesive are quite durable - the insulation applied to the underside (facing the engine) showed no heat degradation - did not sag, did not discolour - after almost 6000 miles. I bought enough to make the bottom but was able to…

Efficient and easy to install.

I used this product under the engine cover/console on the Can Am Commander UTV. There is a very noticeable reduction in heat and noise levels. The product is easy to cut and adjust; The adhesive side seems to be very strong. I've already pressure washed the foil several times where I have it in the cabin, under the CVT outlet and around the tunnel opening without the foil coming off. Even after a month of use, there are no problems with lifting the slide under the console. There is enough…

Excellent quality - enough for my 2003 Expedition

I used this to replace the thick sound deadening material that was OEM in the transmission tunnel. This was enough to bridge all the way back to the end of the transmission and the front firewall. It was great, I had plenty of room to put the engine and gearbox back in. It also looks a lot cleaner. The sound is quieter and the cabin is cooler. I really like this product. Easy to install, good for any bumps in the tunnel, bought some tape to seal the liner if I need to cut material and shape the
