Junk in sensors and temp sensors

The first (and only) fire I used this on was for cookies. The thermocouple reached 800F and then failed, the temperature displayed was 84F whether something was hot or cold. I know it wasn't a pyrometer because I checked it with another pyrometer I have and it showed the same thing. I didn't have time to shoot before the return window so I was just unlucky. I just ordered a new one from Clay-King.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Works perfectly but has zero durability.

Shipping took a while but this thing worked great in my pyrometer. After a year I am very dissatisfied and have changed my rating to one star. I've only used this thermocouple 4 times because I bought it to replace my old one which is getting old. This new one has a very brittle ceramic coating and falls off badly for no apparent reason. As shown, three fragments are now missing.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Stopped working after 1900 degrees Fahrenheit

Wires melted during my first burn and after reaching 1900 degrees Fahrenheit it stopped reading the temperature and spoke of a temperature of about 80 degrees

Pros
  • Temperature reading: -58 to 2372 °F (-50 to 1300)
Cons

  • Its connector can be directly connected to digital thermometers.
