Amazing multifunctional thermometer I bought.

There are so many infrared thermometers on the market. I decided to buy a cheaper one. I use a type K thermocouple and a small dial thermometer to check the accuracy of the laser. I was surprised when I checked the temperature of the copper tube. The readings are very close together, 82.4 F (type k1) and 83.8 F (infrared). The next test is an ambient temperature of 80 F (small dial) or 81.9 F (infrared). I am very happy with the test results while I am repairing the air conditioner. I can…

Very nice but that's it

Nice colour, nice color LED screen but that's it. I give him one star for that. It takes 3 to 5 minutes to capture the ambient temperature when moving from inside to outside for example. As for HVAC, I couldn't get a decent reading from the vent. always 5 to 6 degrees. I use my trusty meat thermometer, it's fast and accurate. I ordered a UEI PDT650 which has proven accurate and fast on the vents and has also been used in a variety of locations. Even when the laser is aimed at the fridge, it's…

Great device! good for thermometers

I decided to get one of these infrared thermometers because I see them all the time in pan/flathead/blackstone videos where people are measuring surface temperatures. I didn't realize there were so many options so I chose this product because it was a great price and seemed to fit the temperature tolerances and ranges like others that cost more. Pros: Batteries are included. It has a simple but detailed instruction manual. easy reading. It is read with an accuracy of 2 degrees. Cons: - Hot…

Accurate and easy to use

Media could not be loaded. I tested this accuracy on an internal thermometer I placed in my oven and a built in thermometer, it was within 2-3° of both. So that seems very accurate to me. The thermometer actually comes with batteries, which was a nice touch that most of these electronic devices don't have. I also like the feature where I don't have to hold the shutter button down the whole time. As soon as the trigger is released, the screen stops and allows you to read what it has been…

Really good tool in the shop AND in the kitchen

Bought to replace a dropped and broken Ryobi IR002. Although I have a use for the IR thermometer in the workshop, I mostly use it in the kitchen or on the grill. There are many ways to test a pan as it heats up. The absolute easiest way is to use an electric skillet where you just set the temperature and it stays there. I usually cook on the stovetop so an IR reader is very useful, although hardly any recipe ever quantifies what they mean by "hot pan" for example. In most cases, a 350F pan or…

  • This infrared thermometer has an adjustable emissivity so you can be more accurate in your measurements no matter what type of surface you are working with. A gun thermometer with adjustable emissivity settings (0.10 to 1.00) is more accurate because you can calibrate the HVAC infrared thermometer for any surface you want to measure.
