Got this for my dad. He is not easy to please and let me say he is pleased with the ease of use and accuracy of this product. Tasted the chicken he fried last night and it was cooked to perfection. Not a bit dry. I definitely recommend this product.

This is exactly what I was looking for to replace my old thermometer. I have used it several times. Temperatures are read quickly and are consistent when rechecked. Easy handling in tight corners thanks to the possibility to adjust the angle of the temperature sensor. Definitely recommend.

Temperature works as described, reason for 4 stars is probe turns on when probe is twisted, metal probe difficult to grip when fully closed. It has too much resistance to swing easily. Bad design. Positive feedback is the length and diameter of the tip, which makes it easy to measure the core temperature of different types of meat.

Easy to use. Works quickly and accurately. The extended probe makes it easy to get the meat to the ideal temperature. FYI: Remember the extended probe was in the oven/grill and take it with your bare hands. The temperature control and the magnets on the case of the device are a nice feature. Also useful is the ability to set an alarm when the desired temperature is reached.

Love how easy this handy gadget is to use! When you open it, it automatically turns on and is ready to use. Once you insert the probe into the meat, the temperature reading is quick and easy to read. After cleaning the probe, simply plug it back into the handle and it will turn off. Easy to use! Sooo glad I bought this instant read meat thermometer!

Pros: Works well. Can be calibrated, equipped with features such as backlight, set temperature alarm and optional external sensor. Cons: This is not an instant read thermometer. Slowly reaching full reading temperature. Opening the smoker and waiting for that thing to hit the temperature gauge is wasting valuable heat and smoke. If he dies, I'll bite the bullet and spend extra money to get Therma Pen.

I wish I could give it a zero rating but that's not an option for first time grilled chicken and both batteries died and were able to do not use. . . I asked them to replace them and I will try again. I will update this when I get a new one**** so they replaced it with a new one after 48 hours and refunded my money if I try to use it again. I will update the result.
