Possible fake, at least poor quality

I've had it for a few months and it's already starting to wear out and break. The LCD on both devices gets darker after changing the battery. The wireless probe is almost unreadable. Either the quality of the thermopro has dropped, or it is a fake. I cannot find the model on the manufacturer's website, be careful.

How did we live before this thermometer?

Seriously, how would we ever use a grill and smoker without this nifty thermometer? Right out of the box, we cooked our first prime rib on the Kamado Joe. It was ideal for simultaneously monitoring the temperature of the meat and the internal temperature of the grill. We followed the suggestion for Medium Rare and it turned out to be perfect. I never want to grill without a dual probe again!

Poor quality, doesn't work out of the box

Last week I used this unit to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. When delivered, the second sensor was inoperable. I have several meat thermometers, but I wanted to use this one to measure meat and smoke temperatures. Being able to use the display, switch back at 300dt and do other things was appealing but after 3 hours I switched on my old smoker temp and meat temp controller and this unit was off at 22 degrees. Poor quality, will not buy this brand again.

Works great in kitchen and dining room

I have used it several times since buying it. I have another thermometer from this brand that never worked properly. I decided to try this one because it was on sale and I needed it for Thanksgiving. It works great and I use it every time I cook chicken. My meals are never overcooked or undercooked. The receiver and the carried part are perfectly matched and easy to use. I haven't used any of the oven temp sensors yet, so I can't tell if it works or not.

Stopped working after a few uses.

This morning I wanted to put on a breast and the thermometer showed about 60 degrees. Read very erratic temps oscillating 10-20 degrees up and down which I know isn't in my pit. Aside from not being very intuitive to set up, I wouldn't recommend this thermometer. I've only used it a couple of times, kept it indoors and rinsed it out very thoroughly after the two uses I've had, neither of which was long lasting smoking. A complete waste of money. Too bad I never bought it.

The probes are no good

I've had the first one since May 1, 2020. I've used it about three times. When I first got it, I tested the sensors in ice water and one of them showed the perfect 32 degrees. The other was 2 degrees lower. So I marked it with tape so I know which is which. Today I used both sensors to cook chicken in a smoker. One checked my smoker's temperature and the other checked the chicken. Everything was great until one of the 140 degree probes got stuck. Luckily, I discovered the problem before my…

No range on the receiver

The receiver needs to be within a few feet of the transmitter to report the temperature, making it useless. If I take him inside, even if he's standing next to my sliding glass door just 15 feet from me, he won't be able to get a signal. Outside I can move 20-30 feet before he loses signal. I have to bring it back to a few meters to show something again. I tried replacing the transmitter and receiver with new batteries but that didn't help. This was my first chance to try the receiver, having…

So far, so good! Improved Grilling.

So far I like this block with two sensors. See how long the probes last before they fail. They EVETNual will fail because of the hard service they perform. All sensors work. But this unit is excellent and I love that you can control the temperature of the meat and the temperature of the grill at the same time. How far does the signal reach the remote control? I also had this question. We have our grill in the backyard. I put the remote in my pocket and headed upstairs to our house and to the…
