Great thermometer for the occasional cook

First I found them quite accurate. I've noticed that in some reviews people have complained about putting it in a cup of hot water and getting different readings. What I found is that they are SUPER delicate. So when someone touches the bottom of the cup, they read something different. If they both hang in a cup, they show the same temperature. I double checked with my original 2 year old digital thermometer which is always correct and each of the 4 thermometers were 15 degrees off. Today I fried a small pork tenderloin. I set it to 165 as I said, but I also had my original digital device on standby (the latter I can't leave while cooking). So when I heard the alarm sound, I used my orig. the digital…
