A Must-Have for Your RV Plumbing System

Based on my experience, the Thetford swivel is a must-have for any RV plumbing system. Its innovative design allows for easy installation and smooth functioning. The pros of this product include its compact size and ease of use. However, the only downside is that it may not be suitable for all RV plumbing systems. Overall, I highly recommend this product for RV enthusiasts looking for a reliable and efficient plumbing accessory.

Pros
  • Convenient swivel feature makes it easy to use and store.
Cons
  • The swivel design may require more maintenance and be prone to wear and tear over time.

Do not overtighten the clamp.

The original had a beveled hose connection but the new one doesn't, I don't think it matters much. One important note: when tightening the clamp, do not over tighten as the fitting will break where the clamp adjuster is located. See photo of the original, which failed from the factory due to overstretching. You can see if you over tighten it will start to fail, release until it returns to its original diameter and should be tight enough. When you pull it, it looks broken like in the picture.

Pros
  • Toilets and parts
Cons
  • Some problems

If you're replacing it, you probably know that when you tighten a clamp, there's a fine line between "tight enough" to hold it on the hose and "too tight" resulting in damage to the fitting. A turn of the collar! The 2" PVC pipe coupling (cut to length) slides easily into the fitting and provides enough grip to allow the…
