Prepare for winter by pumping antifreeze through the lines.

That was the part I needed. BUT the penny fitting taped to the back of the toilet floor broke the toilet. Bad form Thetford. Not impressed. Run antifreeze through the lines to prevent water from pooling near the fittings. I ripped my lines 2 years in a row. Back to pumping up the pink stuff for me.

Gasket and screw set included in

This was just the right part for me. I had a drip from the pedal area and the ball valve was slow to close and it took a little upward pressure on the pedal to get the ball valve to close. It's a pity that I didn't notice this detail before buying the gasket set. Although not mentioned in Dora's description, this base came with a ball gasket, base gasket, hose clamps and base to bowl bolts and new base to base bolts. Everything needed for a complete repair (except installer lube) is included in

Bada - Bing - Caravan Parts & Accessories

If your Aqua Magic II is getting on in years, this is something to consider. Instead of buying and replacing all the valves, seals and plastic cams individually, simply replace the base. Everything is new - spring, pedal, etc. I knew I needed to replace the pedal valve, but it wasn't until I removed the base that I saw that the toilet flange gasket was quite badly worn. I'm glad I did it sooner rather than later, otherwise I would have had a leak. So keep that in mind when doing repairs on…

Great product for the money.

At first I just ordered the lever as it doesn't attach to the base. Whatever you do, don't just buy leverage. Then I realized that the whole base can be bought for a few dollars more than the leverage. With all components, a quick installation is possible. Even comes with top and bottom gaskets. The only issue I had was that the tabs holding the top in place weren't in the right place. However, this was enough to set the bowl. Also, the original had more shoulder straps and was slightly…

Complete box for spare parts and accessories for vans

The most important thing about this part is that it is complete. The assembly includes a water valve and a flush valve. The description of the device made me think about what is included in the product. The only thing you need to know is that the tabs that attach the bottom of the toilet to the bowl are pretty tight as they should be, if you turn the unit upside down the tabs will be visible from underneath. With a long screwdriver you can gently press on the tabs until you can turn the bowl…

It's far better than replacing an entire expensive toilet.

My toilet on wheels got to the point where it wouldn't stop flowing even after I let go of the pedal. I bought a valve kit locally and installed it and it worked for about 5 days then the toilet started the same so after research I found this base unit. It arrived in 2 days and after replacing it I have no problems now. It's been going for 3 months now with no problems. The rear toilet started the same so I ordered a second one for it and will be replacing it as well. Our camper is 8 years old…

I had a problem with a leaking toilet in my motorhome. I had a few issues with a water valve leak and after several repairs using Thetford valve repair kits and continued frustration we decided to replace the toilet. I called Thetford Customer Service and in a conversation with a representative who explained the problem and my decision to replace the toilet, she mentioned that I could only replace the base. I didn't know it was an option. It was a lot cheaper, and having disassembled the toilet

Cheaply Made - Toilets

I'm flushing the toilet in our RV when I hear this popping. I run into the bathroom and see the flush handle lying on the floor. I sent the handle back but didn't remove the top of the toilet. That same night, woman gets up at night to go to the bathroom and guess what kind of pen is back on the floor. Luckily I installed a shut-off valve on the toilet so I just turned off the water until morning. The next morning I took the toilet apart and saw that the tab holding the spring is very cheap and
