Suitable for SHIMANO SPD-SL Excellent!

I have SHIMANO PD-R540 SPD-SL pedals. At first they didn't fit. My friend showed me that I only have to pull part of the pedal back to allow it to slide down. You can also loosen the pedals more to make the part easier to pull. In any case, I bought them on a gamble because they looked like they would fit 50/50. Very glad they fit. Works great, nice to ride a clipless road bike when I get back from work. Although I love clips! I like to use them on the way to the park for laps and not back to…

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • No instructions

Easy to install SPD pedal pads

These pedal pads were purchased for use during knee rehabilitation and did not want to snap onto the pedals. Very easy to mount on SPD pedals. After assembly, the covers lie flat on the pedals. Be sure to press down on the pedal covers to ensure they are securely fastened. I didn't remove the covers on initial installation but they seem easy to remove. Tools are not required. The covers are black and not visible on the SPD pedal when covered with your foot. After prolonged use of the covers…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Good for beginners on clipless pedals

I bought this when I was just starting to ride a road bike but wasn't sure about the road yet. At first I just worked out on my exercise bike with clipless pedals, but when I decided to go outside and wasn't confident enough to ride without falling or falling, I attracted these bad boys. They are easy to insert but difficult to remove. The easiest way to remove it is to insert an Allen key, go through the hole on the side and pry it out like you're loosening it while driving. The build quality…

Nice item to add to your road bike kit.

What made me hesitant to buy this product is the "hard to take off" reviews. However, I have found that this is not true. Shimano SPD-SL pedals have tension adjusters. If you want these pedal adapters to stay in place and not wobble, simply set the pedal tension to max. To remove the pedal adapters, simply set the tension on the spd-sl pedals to the lowest setting and they can be easily removed by hand. A pair now stays with my road bike gear so I can convert my clipless pedals to flat pedals…

Useless - does not fit Shimano Ultegra or PD-R550 pedals

I have Shimano SPD-SL road pedals - PD-R550 (black) on my e-bike and Shimano 6800 Ultegra clipless pedals on my road bike, both SPD-SL pedals. These Thinvik SPD-SL adapters are not compatible with Ultegra pedals. At least they came close to the PD-R550, but I pushed hard and couldn't get them to hook. If I pushed really, really, really hard I might be able to push them into the pedals, but I was afraid to push harder, afraid I'd literally never get them out. It's too late to bring back those…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Clipless pedal adapter

I wanted to do without clips, but also wanted to be able to ride my bike without cycling shoes on occasion, especially when I'm with friends who are a little more careless when cycling. These adapters are ideal for this, but they have some disadvantages and problems. Pros: - They are very well made. - The price is just right for what they are. - They have a float, which is nice. Personally I would prefer this product not to float, although I like my spikes to float. You can see how they get…

  • Ideal for me

Great concept but tricky to shoot Shimano 105 PD-R7000 SPD-SL

EDIT: (3-19-20) The company contacted me and offered to send me a replacement because they are of it were convinced. works with my pedals. I received the item maybe 3-4 business days after I gave them my address. This time the pedals were very easy to install, but removing them was a big problem. I don't have the strength to take them off with my hands. They recommend using a tool they don't provide. Luckily I had a small spare hex wrench and that helped. Still a cool idea for people who…
