I wanted to do without clips, but also wanted to be able to ride my bike without cycling shoes on occasion, especially when I'm with friends who are a little more careless when cycling. These adapters are ideal for this, but they have some disadvantages and problems. Pros: - They are very well made. - The price is just right for what they are. - They have a float, which is nice. Personally I would prefer this product not to float, although I like my spikes to float. You can see how they get very slippery on rainy days. I wouldn't expect much grip from them on rainy days. All day using them the left side was fine but the right side kept popping out of the pedal. I've lost it more than once and had to go back to find it or face the remaining 16 miles of an awkward drive.
