LCD display with 0.4" high digits for increased visibility. Calibrated to ISO 17025 traceability standards for reliability of measurements.

Good temperature range but poor design

Display appears, plastic case tends to break off to the second red stripe just above the metal bar. This occurs in particular when the thermometer is used to measure very viscous, bubbling liquids. Next time I will buy with a different design.

Thermometers are worth it.

For my tropical aquarium which has some of the fussier inhabitants, I wanted/needed a temperature reading that was absolutely scientific. Nominal accuracy certificate included. The $5, $10, and $20 thermometers were a waste of money. Now I hit the power button, put it in the tank, count to three and bingo. I'm getting readings to the nearest tenth of a degree. Guaranteed. Another switch converts Fahrenheit and Celsius. Expensive, but so does my fish, and worth the trust.

Product dies after 8 months - without support from the manufacturer

Attention! Bought this Thomas Scientific traceable thermometer for calibration through Revain. This product stopped working after 8 months. I can't find a link to get help from Revain as the return period has expired. I called Thomas Scientific and they said they would do nothing. It goes on to say that they do NOTHING. They are just traders and don't care about the problem I have or how to solve it. They refused to try to locate the product or determine if there was any warranty at all. Her…
