🌡️ Thomas Traceable Refrigerator/Freezer Plus Thermometer 4527, with Vaccine Bottle Probe (5mL), Temperature Range -58 to 158°F Review

I purchased two units and both arrived with expired certificates although I contacted support prior to shipping to ensure they had valid certificates.

Purchased to store medicines that need a stable refrigeration temperature of 37-45 degrees. I compared it to two other thermometers and it turned out to be accurate. In continuous use for two years without any problems and without changing the battery. I love that it shows the min and max temps so you know if the temp is out of range rather than just the current temp.

I heard the alarm when I set it and agree with other reviews (that the cat makes more noise). I deduct a point for this mistake. Otherwise it worked perfectly. It shows me the lowest and highest temperatures in the freezer (which was instructive). I used to check the temperature in the fridge by opening the door and looking at the thermometer on one of the shelves. I had no idea how much the temperature fluctuated there. A dire alarm would be appropriate in an RV or the same room you are in.

Received this today after ordering yesterday. The reviews/descriptions said it comes with a NIST certificate valid for two years. The certificate I received with this product today says it should be sent in for calibration in July 2020. This is very inconvenient and false advertising. I need it for a fit check at my work and then I have to immediately turn back and pay to send it in for calibration when I JUST received it. Dissatisfied customer. Just bought two for domestic fridges. Set the alarm thresholds to 32F (low) and 45F (high). One of them reset the alarm settings once (return to default 50F/86F causing false alarm). I swapped it out for a decent battery and removed the cheap one that came with it. The second restarted several times with false positives on different batteries.
