On the downside, it can be a bit pricey compared to other industrial lubricants, but the quality and durability make it worth the investment. Perfect for any Industrial and Scientific…

Indispensable

A small amount goes a long way. Used to seal lapped glass stoppers and to lubricate glass faucets. Economical compared to alternatives. Definitely recommend.

Pros
  • For lubricating ground glass joints, glass and metal taps and valves and for sealing desiccators, anaerobic culture vessels and similar utensils
Cons
  • Piggy bank price

Silicone Free

The only stopcock lubricant I have ever used in the past was in a lab where it was always silicone. I was hoping it was, but it isn't; It's based on oil. Note that there are other types of stopcocks, and perhaps those found on gas lines and elsewhere use this material. I'm still looking for heavy silicone grease.

Pros
  • Lubriseal Stopcock Lubricant
Cons
  • Unsafe
