Description of ๐Ÿ’ช Superior Thor Rawhide Copper Diameter TH03208: Unleash Unbeatable Strength

Malleable iron head and Copper/Rawhide faces combine to provide the weight for the blow and the faces prevent damage to most items being struck. Ideal where a heavy blow is required combined with a relatively small striking area. Faces are designed to wear and can be replaced. Used as a multi purpose soft faced hammer in engineering and automotive for assembly, repair and maintenance. Made in the U.K. by Thor.

Great quality hammer hammer

I have been using Thor copper and rawhide hammers for over 10 years and have been very happy with them. They are well-made devices of the highest quality. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they could have improved the design a bit to make installing the new copper/rawhide inserts easier.

This hammer does exactly what I wanted

The price is right. Hammer from an English company. I use it to give delicate finishing mechanics a little more "encouragement" than I could apply with a smaller nylon headed hammer. In addition, the heads are interchangeable.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Upgrades

Be careful when mixing faces

This is just what I need for leatherwork. Light enough to be easy to handle but heavy enough to give a good boost when needed. One disappointment was that the diameter of the copper face was much larger than that of the rawhide, even though they were listed with the same dimensions. It took a lot of grinding to lower the copper just enough for the head to close evenly. Happy with it now.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Crumpled

Just a gear hammer

I bought this hammer as a gift for my brother who has every tool imaginable. the fact that you can replace the heads of this hammer once they are scratched and damaged. Made in England, reduced, free shipping (with Revain Prime). How much better can it be?

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Discontinued

Thor copper/leather hammer.

I'm a boilermaker and I use this hammer to make sheet metal, laser plate, aluminum and stainless steel. This hammer is a good weight to hit hard and is well balanced so it's really accurate. You no longer have to pick up a block of wood and shake your hand while hitting it, this deals minimal damage. It's perfect for jobs where your nylon hammer can't generate enough power.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Not bad

good hammer good weight

I bought this hammer to use on perforated metal panels. This is the second rawhide hammer I've bought. The first hammer was WAY too light and didn't get the job done when it came to smoothing out the sheet metal. This hammer is just perfect. He also has a copper face. I used a copper surface to crush the can wherever I folded it in half and it seems to have worked fairly well leaving very little mark. The copper side of the hammer was an unexpected benefit as I've only used rawhide on pewter in

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • basically everything ok but...

Hammer you never knew you needed

This is one of those tools I didn't know I had before that I use all the time now. I've got all kinds of hammers, hammers, slap hammers. Not long ago one of my old British motorcycle manuals said to use a brass hammer. I never knew what those things were. I bought this because it has copper on one side and hard rawhide on the other. changing faces. Wow! You just have to hit another metal object and don't damage it. Also, it's small enough to get into places only my ball-point steel hammer could

Pros
  • Delightful
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
