Thread Kits 3221 M12F Repair Kit Review

Finally got my transmission back and this thread kit made it easy to repair the rear transmission mount threads on my Civic 89. Very easy to follow instructions, smooth operation with pre-winder, and tap cuts smooth and accurate. Delivered quickly, the price is good, overall a great deal, will be back to this seller again!

I have drilled and tapped an aluminum head as I have done dozens of times but this was my first time with this brand. This will be the last time I try to insert inserts into the insert tool by pulling them out. I have never had as many problems as I have with this brand and have been doing this for over 30 years.

This tap is not working properly. I've spent hours drilling a hole in the engine block to thread and insert coils and all attempts have failed. I was able to drive a larger screw in without thread repair (on a trial basis) and am guessing the tap is not a thread repair tap but a regular tap with re-marking for thread repair size (WARNING BUYER!) broke all the thread repair reels, trying to force them to insert . If the faucet is the wrong size, the coils won't go in.
