When using a throw light, tint is not such a factor. A Cool White gets more distance. I ordered a neutral white and looked to exchange for CW. I missed the exchange cut off by 1 week. I offered to pay any restocking fee. I was denied. So apparently this company is out to just grab your cash Build quality gets them 2 Stars but the customer service get them A BIG ZERO. I had my eye on the Catapult V6, but not anymore. Too much flashlight competition out there to put up with this.

I'm a bit of a torch nerd and have a few powerful torches around the house, car and for work. The Thrunite TN42 is in a class by itself when it comes to light "throw". The intensity or candela is amazing! It's like having a beam of light extending out to many hundreds of meters from your hand. A fantastic piece of engineering!

It's a fairly large light with a large reflector. Beam is super tight, construction seems good. As with all high power lights the turbo mode doesn't last long but even at high this light has great brightness and isn't for a casual flashlight user.One of the two I ordered came with a manufacturing defect in the battery holder and couldn't hold a battery in one slot. Best flashlight we have ever purchased. We have had a cougar and coyotes in the field and around chicken pen this light does a fantastic job lighting the property up. Like everything about this very powerful flashlight. Just waiting for amazon to get more in stock planning to buy another.
