Attention buyers. Chinese hardware makes this a risky choice.

I couldn't fully judge as the head of the first of the 4 screws (included) fell off when attaching the plastic rail to the strut. It was a harbinger of durability and reliability, so I just put it back in the box. I'm still looking for a top shelf in a bike rack.

If you can afford to steal them.

I want to love this product, but it's too easy to steal from the back of your truck. When I looked at the owner's manual before buying, I thought that the metal part of the trunk had slipped under the tailgate. Not so. Plastic straps that can be cut or easily detached. I don't know why they didn't make them out of metal and attach them to a stand. It is impractical to take two trays off the body and stow them in the truck while driving or when the truck is parked in the driveway. You will come…

Easy handling and safe transport

I bought a Thule Insta-Gater Pro Truck Bed Bike Rack to help me carry my mountain bike so it doesn't wobble in the back of the truck. It's nice to have a tether lock feature, but I wouldn't rely on it for long periods of time in a high crime area. The entire system is quickly assembled and installed on the back of a truck. It's also pretty quick to remove when you're done. Overall I am very impressed with the product and its durability.

Not all parts have arrived. Update Update. I called customer service and they sent me straps

Not all parts are included missing straps included in the trunk. $250 and can't use it. update update. I called customer service there and within minutes they sent me the straps. Very fast. The support team was very understanding. And during the day. I had everything I needed. rack work. Excellent. Exactly what I needed. I am very glad that I ordered another shelf. And it came with everything you need. And we use both. Works very well.

A quick and easy way to haul mountain bikes (one 29 " and one 27.5 ") in the back of my truck

Fairly easy to assemble. Uses ski boot style bindings to connect the frame to the tailgate anchor straps. Solid overall, but I suspect the buckles are the most likely point of failure/needs the most careful attention. The installer has a cable and SKS locking system to secure the bike to the device. However, a thief can easily remove the installer itself by simply removing the anchor straps and towing the bike and rack to the nearest vehicle. Pros: ease of use; keeps the bike safe while riding…
