I've surfed my whole life and these are by far the best harnesses I've seen

42 years old, surfer all my life and these are by far the best trapezes I have ever seen. So easy to use, tighten it as you like and never slip off, and it comes off easily no matter how tight you tighten it. They're not very long, which means you don't have to tie a long loose end. The downside to this is that you can probably only get two boards underneath. However, if you have more than one set, you can use them together to fit more. I use them to tie all sorts of things. Usually in the back

For frequent surfers.

I have never lost a board using one of these. At first the price confused me. Then he never looked back. Wrap one end over the pole. This end is permanently attached to your post or pole. Throw the end of the hook over the stack of boards. Pass it through one of two positions. Tighten the ladder lock. Get your gear on and go. Secure a 2x4 stack as easily as a pair of long boards. I tried one of these for the first time 20 years ago. The design has evolved. I believe the first company was Sierra

Nice surprise, best in trunks and trunks

I thought it was a cheap set of straps but I needed them to attach my board to my standard 4Runner roof racks. After working for many years and using many racks, I was surprised how easy and convenient they are to use. I can not only use them for surfing. I always have them in my car when I need to attach something to my roof rack. They have a flexible yet secure bungee cord center and the hooks and strap are easy to use and very strong. The metal hooks are covered with rubber to protect the…

Great not too tight and not too loose solution!

It's the perfect balance of not too tight and not too loose. They won't crush the edges of your board like they would with a nylon strap alone, and they won't flap around like a big rubber band like bungee cords. I use three in case one ever fails (ask an engineer). I was skeptical given the price compared to the alternatives but now I like them much better, they seem like a good deal. I'd be very sad if Thule discontinued them: REI stopped selling them, but luckily they're still available from

Clever idea with 3 critical design/material issues

I saw these (or very similar ones) on a friend's car and thought it would be a perfect alternative to the big weight belts we carry with tedious placement Simply tie the kayak to the roof rack. For context: I live in Hawaii and most weekends I have to take a kayak, surfboard or a mix to the beach, a hard life I know. The design is simple, which is good. like, something like. One end is sewn into a loop, through this loop you pull the short part of the main strap and hook it to one end of the…
