🚲 Thule 955 No-Sway Cage Bike Rack Hitch Review

I have an Allen 2 bike rack that doesn't have sway bars. I spent a lot of time searching the internet for an aftermarket solution and settled on this one. They are very strong and seem to hold the bike in place very well. I only had to modify/cut the PVC spacers that were on the post to accommodate them and ensure the brackets stay in place. or back.

I bought these to use with my Thule Roadway stand, 2 pack. I read a review that suggested possible scratches on the frame tube and decided to be proactive. I used some of the remaining protective tape and placed it over the hard plastic that the frame tube rests on. These cages are great for keeping bikes in place. Bought a pair of these for the Thule trunk. While they work, they also eat away quite a bit at the paint on the seat tube (for non-experts in bike frame anatomy, the seat tube is the vertical part of the bike frame below the seat post).
