Thule One Key System 4 Pack Review

Replaces the plastic nuts (4) in the luggage basket protection bracket. Easy to install with the included dummy key. I think it's overpriced, but it's the only product I know of that works like this.

First, Thule makes quality products. This is not a problem. The problem is that Thule doesn't include enough matching locks in their bike racks! I bought a 1 person T1 bike rack that has 3 slots for locks - so why only 2?

Too bad they weren't fitted to my luggage racks. Another reward for stopping someone from stealing my gear. The instructions are absolutely terrible. I was able to find a helpful video on YouTube but the "dummy" stubs were very difficult to remove but once removed the installation was very easy and perfect. These locks are essential for all Thule gear owners.

These products are so overpriced. If you don't buy a pack of eight, it's basically a highway robbery. Tula should be ashamed. You say you sell them separately from your other products because you want one key to fit multiple locks. However, there is such a discrepancy in price depending on how many locks you buy, it just shows you are not paying for quality, you are paying more because they may charge you more.

Fits my Thule Canyon XT luggage basket. Easy install, but it took a little finesse to install a few of them. It's ok, just be patient, they will fit after installation. Great product! I bought this because I have two Thule components with six lock cylinders and wanted them tied to the same key. My only problem was the original lock cylinders on the Thule Motion XT. The first thing you need to do is insert the original Cargobox key and turn it to the unlocked position (about 30 degrees from the locked position). My Thule Kayak Carrier is first class in quality and finish. Considering the price, it should come with locks as standard. The pair of locks I ordered came with two keys and a flat silver key blank; no instructions. I figured the silver key blank was just in case the key needed to be made.
