Did not work…at all

I had high hopes for this product in masking scent and calming down the dog, unfortunatly even after turning multiple rooms into an aromatic citrus grove, I continued to loose sleep (4 days in a row) do to our dog constantly and persistently whimpering, whining, and acting like crazy pubescent teen for whatever was floating his boat (and sinking mine). I gave it 2 stars because the scent was not bad, but it just did not work to any extent. I started to just hope the spray would calm my own…

Pros
  • The smell is calming and makes the dog relax used with thunder shirt
Cons
  • I didn't see it help anything. I'm not sure how to tell at this point.

Works like magic! on my review.

My pup had REALLY HORRIBLE anxiety. Loud noises, sudden movements, separation anxiety, the works. And I’ve gone through just about everything from CBD drops to hemp chews to melatonin chews, everything. She recently developed a habit of biting on her paws to the point where we thought she may have even had fleas or an allergy. We changed her food, doubled up on flea baths, kept up with her Advantix applications, even got bitter apple hot shot spray….Needless to say, we’ve tried it all and…

Pros
  • Our dog is so much came during storms
Cons
  • Could trigger respiratory problems for dogs

Kudos to this product! Has helped our dog.

We use this with our dogs Thunder Shirt. Fireworks are such a regular thing where we live snd also some pretty loud thunderstorms. We really wanted to reduce or avoid medications for our retriever. We use the spray with his Thunder Shirt as directed and also spray a little on his dog bed. We’ve noticed the calming effect and have been able to reduce and at times, eliminate calming medication. Kudos to this product!

Pros
  • good product
Cons
  • didn't helped my dog but nice smell

Had no effect on my dog at all.

My dog was a 'bait dog' for the first 2 or 3 years of his life, caged in a trailer with 45 other bait dogs, barely fed and watered, 9 pounds when rescued in TX, 12 pounds when I adopted him, is now 25 pounds! He is good with women and kids, but very skittish around men, took me over 2 years to gain some trust. He is startled by nearly everything, fearful of loud noise, and will hide from me for hours if I yell at him, so I just don't ever yell at him. Very well housebroken, but a runner off the

Pros
  • Definitely calmed by dog during loud fireworks.
Cons
  • May stain furniture or fabrics

Didn’t help, but will use for mosquito repellent

Geranium oil is so strong, I am afraid to use too much. My dog was having a lot of anxiety and was vocal. I started with just one spritz on a small pillow, let it sit in another room for about 20 minutes, then brought it out around 3’ from her bed. No effect on her. Moved it closer. Nothing. Put on another spritz, and still no effect. The next day, my order for this same company’s diffuser with Adaptil came in. The effect of that was instant. That’s what helps our dog, and will try to find a…

Pros
  • My dogs,works great
Cons
  • Can cause allergic reactions for some dogs

I have a purebred German Shepherd and she's about a year and a half. She's always gone wild when I'm away, (tearing the couch up, cords, etc.) she has severe separation anxiety. We purchased the thunder shirt itself as well as the thunder essence. All you have to do is put the jacket on (replicates a hug, not too warm for the dog either) and spray 2-3 spritz of the spray. Together they work wonders! I leave it in her while I'm away and she quit shredding all my things! The spray smells like…

Pros
  • The smell is wonderful. Good value and price. Works great with other calming products.
Cons
  • May cause skin irritation for some dogs

Works wonders for fear of thunder in my dogs

Used in combination with thundershirts for my border collies stopped the trembling, pacing, hyperventilating and other anxiety symptoms they experience during thunderstorms. Am really hoping it works as well for fireworks as well. Am ordering the pheromone spray also in case it is less effective, as soon as it becomes available again.

Pros
  • Long-lasting effects
Cons
  • Not suitable for use on pregnant dogs

Dog calming spray that helps with anxiety

Ordered to help calm an anxious dog. It seems to help some. I spray a kerchief that we put around her neck. It does have a strong scent that lingers. One pump sprays plenty for one application.

Pros
  • Great for use during thunderstorms and fireworks
Cons
  • Strong scent may not be appealing to all owners

Doggy’s shirt in my review

Worked ok first couple times but then he learned that’s when he’s leaving the house as he gets nervous outside as he’s getting a little confidence every time

Pros
  • Great product. Calms down your dog enough to put them in a relax state
Cons
  • Strong scent may bother sensitive noses

Smells good but no calming effect

This is a very nice smelling product but it doesn't help calm my senior lab at all. However, the Thunder Ease phermone diffuser does help.

Pros
  • Dogs
Cons
  • Scent may not be strong enough for some dogs

He's so zen and cuddly!

Apollo very much dislikes fireworks, people standing in their driveways talking. kids playing. okay so he's a little grumpy old man. He has had his thunder shirt for a year now and it worked very very well last 4th of July. He even laid down and napped instead of constant barking. I added the spray this year. Last night a couple fireworks went off and he was so zen. He actually gets even more cuddly than usual with anyone who was a willing participant. I WILL buy again. The bottle was bigger…

Pros
  • Smelled good to me but made one of my dogs sneeze
Cons
  • Didn’t work for our dogs

It does help my little guy

We have a 15lb shi tzu who hates thunder and fireworks. He shakes so much, I just want to help him.We spray this around and it does help him some. We also give him hemp chews that help him too.

Pros
  • Pet Supplies
Cons
  • Strong scent can be overwhelming for some dogs

Some relief for my opinion

I have notice a slight diffrence when I spray directly onto my pups fur. However, still having anxiety as I put in car carrier and sprayed.

Pros
  • Helps promote a more positive relationship between you and your pet
Cons
  • Can be frustrating to apply when the dog is moving around a lot

Smells nice but that's about all.

Our rescue German Shepherd reacts to the strangest things like the sounds of a bicycle bell or office desk call bells and starts shaking and quivering. We think there must of been these types of sounds where she had been warehoused and starved. Anyway, we have tried this spray with the thunder shirt as well as calming supplements, to no avail.

Pros
  • Very soothing seems to calm her down i spray it on her favorite things
Cons
  • I tried it but no difference. Still nervous

Helps with Anxiety good for me

I got the ThunderShirt for my rescue pup and it helped a lot with her stress going outside, but I wanted to try the spray to see if it would help her calm down when she gets too overwhelmed and shakes. I used 2-3 sprays on her shirt and it made a noticeable difference; the spray doesn't stop her from getting anxious but it helps her calm down and shake less when she's already overly stressed out.The smell is very nice and to me, it's mostly lavender with a little hint of chamomile. I think I…

Pros
  • Effectively eases separation anxiety
Cons
  • Might not be effective in all environments

It’s okay- smells good - but didn’t make a big difference

Our 12 year old mini golden doodle is truly terrified of loud noises- thunderstorms are pure terror for her. We spritz a little on he thunder shirt and it definitely helped her smell better when she started stress breathing/sweating- but did not make a significant difference in calming her.

Pros
  • Es efectivo hasta en los locos chihuahuas
Cons
  • Not recommended for use on puppies under 12 weeks old

Don't know if it really works!

Don't know if it really works when my German Shepard males are riled up barking at each other, but it smells good and makes the bigger one sneeze. Hard to be too aggressive when you're sneezing.

Pros
  • Can be an effective tool for rescue dogs
Cons
  • May not work well for dogs with severe separation anxiety

Revainrating 5 out of 5

When you have run out of options

I was skeptical that this product would work because the rescue dog that I got turned out to be VERY afraid of thunder, bangs, pops and any other startling noises. She gets so bad that she trembles in abject fear. I sprayed this on her cloth toy and put it by her during a thunderstorm and she still trembled a little but didn't go run to hide in some dark area of the home.

Pros
  • Relaxants
Cons
  • Can be easily missed on fur during application

Lavender spray for thunder shirt

Love to use this with or without thunder shirt, notice a difference quickly. My Jack Russell/Boston Terrier likes to pull apart beds, shred towels and blankets however if I spray this on items , she doesn’t want to rip things apart. There is a small patch on the right shoulder area of the thunder shirt, a spray or two and she calms down during storms or just when she is over excited and wound up.

Pros
  • Helps dogs feel more comfortable in new environments
Cons
  • Strong scent may not be pleasant for humans

My dogs freak out when they hear fireworks, and during thunderstorms. They can hear thunder before we do. This spray doesn't have much of an effect on my big dogs when used by itself, but when I use it along with their thundershirts, give them calming treats, and use a diffuser, the combination seems to do the trick. (None of those items work by themselves for my pups) I spray it on their thundershirts, and on their beds. This product may work well alone for smaller dogs (mine are all over 60…

Pros
  • Pairs perfectly with a ThunderShirt for the ultimate day to day calm
Cons
  • Not guaranteed to work for all dogs
