A good replacement bearing for offsetting the bearing surface on the shaft. Because of this, the case protrudes about 1/4 inch. This is stated in the instructions. This is a lubricated bearing so make sure the correct seal is on the inside.

All Explorer '05 have independent rear suspension. The link indicates that it is suitable for my explorer. I couldn't read the notes (exp indep sup). Nothing wrong with the bearing, it's just useless on this machine. I use Timken bearings regularly so I will use them at some point.

Bought for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee with Chrysler 8.25 axle. The shoulder is too wide and the bearing does not sit flush with the end of the axle tube. Feel within, there is an equal distance where the within has not reached the stage. The only way to reattach the C-clamps to the other end of the axle is to put a large C-clamp onto the axle flange and tighten until you almost crush the outer gasket, and even then the C-clamp has to be threaded.
