Description of 🐊 Enhanced Toggler Alligator: Plastic Diameter Threads for Easy and Secure Installation

Anchor installs into hollow and solid materials such as concrete, brick, stone, and drywall to securely hold a load. Corrosion-resistant polypropylene body expands and elongates within a solid substrate to distribute force evenly and opens its jaws to lock position within a hollow substrate when a screw is inserted. Made in USA, and works with #6 to #12 screw sizes (sold separately). Ultimate tensile strength is 69 lb. in 1/2" drywall and 675 lb. in 3,500 psi concrete with a #10 sheet metal screw. Use one-fourth or less of listed maximum values for safe working loads (as required by local regulations).

Poor Design for Industrial and Scientific Use

As a hesitant buyer, I was not impressed with the performance of these anchors. As my tests showed, the plastic threads were not durable enough to withstand heavy loads, making them unsuitable for industrial and scientific applications. The only pro is that they are easy to install. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the pros for anyone needing reliable fasteners for their projects.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • May require additional tools for installation

Excellent anchors for hollow anchors

I use these in place of all the other anchors I have used. An advice. Sometimes they twist in the hole when you insert a large screw. So I screw in the drywall screw first to widen the anchor against the hole before screwing in the larger screw.

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Anchor of choice, best of anchors

I have used these anchors commercially for many years. When my national supplier stopped selling this brand I tracked it down here. The A6 anchor has no flanges at the top, allowing the panels to be fitted flush with the wall and also being able to be pushed through a cavity wall if they need to be removed, reducing damage to the outside of the wall and making repairs much easier.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen
