Description of ๐Ÿ”ฉ TOGGLER SnapSkru Glass Filled Self-Drilling Fastener: Efficient Fasteners and Anchors

Self-drilling anchor installs into 3/8"- to 5/8"-thick drywall ceilings and walls without requiring a predrilled hole. Glass-filled nylon body has jaws that open to provide a firm vibration- and shock-resistant hold when a screw is inserted. Made in USA, and works with #6 to #10 size screws (sold separately). Ultimate tensile strength is 79 lb. in 1/2" drywall with a #8 x 1-1/2" screw. Use one-fourth or less of listed maximum values for safe working loads (as required by local regulations).

TOGGLER fits the bill and is my favorite brand

All I needed were wall plugs not screws as I have a million of them and it fit the bill and saved me a penny or two. I am satisfied with the TOGGLER SNAPSKRU brand as it has proven to be functional, durable and gives me a satisfying POP when the screw is properly tightened. I have no cons to give you as this is a product I prefer to other brands through trial and error and experience. I just thought they might cost a little less money because it's a bulk pack with no screws.

A pleasant surprise awaits you because they are excellent

Many complain that the screws are sold separately. These people obviously can't read! I bought them on purpose because they don't include screws. I have enough bolts and few anchors! Every time I go to Homer to buy them, I end up paying for screws I don't need. If you have never used these anchors you will be pleasantly surprised as they are great, super easy to install and much stronger. than any other type of wall anchor. Don't be stupid! They are designed for drywall only, not concreteโ€ฆ

They are perfect: Drywall anchor

You can save a few bucks by buying branded products, but it's not worth it. I'm sick of all the cheap ones on Amazon and elsewhere and all they do is cause a ton of heartache. The toggles screw straight in which means they won't stray so the hole is in the middle of where you marked it. They are strong and I haven't had a single spin yet. I suppose if someone does, then I deserve it by putting in too much effort, but it would take a lot of effort for one of them to fail. Repair drywall. So farโ€ฆ

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. WARNING! THIS WILL LEAVE A PENNY SIZED HOLE IN YOUR WALL. Now that it's out of the way, I don't care about the inch-sized hole in the wall. I bought these to mount my Ikea shelves to the wall. They have worked brilliantly for this purpose, as well as every other wall mounting project I've come up with. I highly recommend drilling a hole roughly the diameter of the switch first to ensure it doesn't break off. I have some brick pieces in my apartment and Iโ€ฆ

Super light and strong

These things are strong. I never use the cheaper ones where you have to pre-drill everything and hammer it into the wall. I had a curtain rod that kids pulled out of the wall with cheaper drywall anchors. In my immense wisdom, I opted for the larger version of the less expensive drywall anchor. The same fate befell this attempt. They fit in the same, now ugly hole and have a tighter hold than I thought possible with a drywall anchor. He held him for months and I doubt the kids didn't pull onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • Not sure

Container plates for installed parts on drywall. A PH3 or Phillips #3 bit is required for installation. There are no instructions. I accidentally drove two anchors into the drywall, so an adjustable slipper clutch is a must. We set the drill/screw selector to the screw and torque (#1) over RPM. The self-drilling function tends to walk or move. Because alignment is important with this setup, a 1/8" to 3/16" hole had to be carefully marked, centered and pre-drilled to serve as the pilot hole forโ€ฆ
