This little device does exactly what it's designed to do. The display, while small by today's standards, is bright and clear. In fact, more would just be a distraction. Voice commands are loud enough and clear enough. The instructions have so far been accurate in my admittedly limited use. Satellite acquisition was fast enough not to distract. I had a Garmin Nuvi that got hit by a car :) So I decided to get a cool TomTom (with features like POI correction, celebrity voices, etc.). Used for 50 days, finally returned. Here's why: 1. I bought this base model because I needed it for a 3 month stay in California. After eight weeks I'm not lost, I'm happy to say that.
