Easy to use car GPS

This is the first personal GPS I've bought, although I've played around with some of the more expensive ones before (Hertz "NeverLost"). It is true that this device does not come with an instruction manual. However, if you tinker with it a bit before attempting to use it, you should be able to understand most of its features. There are many pre-programmed lists ("Points of Interest"). You can select a POI from the list and navigate to it, or add it to your current route. My only wish is that…

Great product, great support

This little device does exactly what it's designed to do. The display, while small by today's standards, is bright and clear. In fact, more would just be a distraction. Voice commands are loud enough and clear enough. The instructions have so far been accurate in my admittedly limited use. Satellite acquisition was fast enough not to distract. I also like that the device doesn't get confused. I decided to program the destination but ignored the directions and used the country roads I knew. Ease

Met (almost) all my expectations

Buying the TomTom EASE was a great financial decision. I've been looking for a GPS system for a long time and I knew TomTom was the best in the business so I decided to invest in it. I am delighted to have found a great deal at TomTom EASE, a simple and beautiful product but with all the benefits you want from a quality GPS system. One of the coolest things about TomTom EASE, as the name suggests, is that it's super easy to use! I love that I can just turn it on and in a few seconds I'm on my…

Not worth saving

I had a Garmin Nuvi that got hit by a car :) So I decided to get a cool TomTom (with features like POI correction, celebrity voices, etc.). Used for 50 days, finally returned. Here's why: 1. It doesn't show step-by-step text instructions, which is vital for my needs. Nuvi did it with just one click. Before I set off, I want to know at a high level which highways/main roads I'm going to take. You can't do this in Tomtom Ease (Interestingly, my brother has an old TomTom that can, but it takes 2-3

Does what it's supposed to do

I bought this base model because I needed it for a 3 month stay in California. After eight weeks I'm not lost, I'm happy to say that. Sometimes the instructions are a bit confusing and I missed the shutdown, but once I figured out those little quirks, no more problems. I think more complex lane management would be a huge benefit if we spent more time in LA, but we mostly avoid big intersections, I don't have a problem. My only real complaint is that the battery life sucks, even after an hour…
