No service support

Good features that were in the previous version have been removed. Traffic lights and speed only work from the phone. So if there is no reception you will not get this information and if you can receive it on your phone then you do not need this GPS. The service is terrible, impossible to talk to a live person, even if you try to use the chat, you're talking to a robot. There is no phone number to call support. After the purchase you are on your own. Without service it is useless. In return we…

Serious problems with GPS

This tom tom has problems, there are 4 updates, I run the data and get this. Something went wrong, please try again. and another problem, I entered all my important addresses, now every time I switch on the navigation system, my daughter Andreas's address is ready to go. I remove it, not the destination, and add where I want to go. back at the address "My daughters" is displayed as the destination. Before turning off the GPS, I remove the target and get it working again. I'm working on this…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Best TomTom!

I was intrigued and amazed by the features of this #1 product with large screen and brightness! Second, the Bluetooth wireless connection really makes your cell phone a handy device. It reads incoming messages, tells you who they're from, and prompts for a reply. It also allows you to take phone calls. It's like having On-Star without paying for it. It also reminds you of frequently visited places and asks if you are going there. It lets you know when an update is available and how long it will

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Not all fit

Not as good as Garmin

All functions work, wifi update is convenient, but graphics are not as good as Garmin. Garmin has an intuitive way of presenting a navigation image, you can understand it immediately. It's different with TomTom. Also, the mounting options are limited or very expensive compared to what's available for Garmin. I had to buy an Amazon bean bag, attach a suction cup to the bean bag, and place everything in my usual spot in the left corner of the windshield. I still can't get him to lean down enough…

Great GPS, better than apps

This GPS is better than using apps. While driving I like a few notifications that I'll be turning soon and it gets the job done. I love the way the screen zooms in and the maps are very similar in terms of lane count etc. The screen is bright and of good quality. I have two problems with two things, it seems when planning a route you have to say DRIVE and then it seems like you're ready, but it's more like an aerial view, for a long distance you have to click a second time, Let's go! Now you…

Well, it's a long way

This unit is way better than the old tom tom I have with a lot more options (I don't use it) to bring it to you allow use your smartphone for movements etc. I didn't learn all the features because of the manual you get. It's little more than turning it on and setting it up. It doesn't address any of the questions I had and the online guide. So all you have to do is play around with it when you have the time. I still haven't learned how to give instructions without typing them in. voice…

TomTom NO.: In-Dash Navigation

Firstly, yes I'm one of those people who doesn't like using my phone for navigation . I always have music or podcasts in my car and I don't want my sat nav to speak through the same speaker as Rslash. It's harder to hear. So I like having a dedicated GPS with my own little dedicated speaker. I have had a Garmin for many years. For example, I got this thing when I got my first car in 2013. The Garmin lived a long, happy life before this winter, and in all that time I've only had one complaint…
