BROther printers will shut down unless you replace the cartridge or follow the toner reset instructions. They work fine until the Brother printer stops printing and forces you to reset the toner counter or replace the cartridge. You cannot reset the toner counter of these cartridges if the BRother printer turns off when the toner counter limit is reached.
